Palestine’s Right to Life and Hope for Peace
By Dr. Abeer Almaddawy
As the world watches the endless suffering in Gaza, I stand firmly against all bloodshed and violence that have taken too many innocent lives. Every human being has the right to live with dignity, and the people of Palestine are no exception.

I strongly support President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s firm decision to refuse any forced displacement of the Palestinian people. Egypt’s stance reflects a deep respect for humanity and sovereignty — a refusal to accept the use of starvation and military pressure as tools of control.

At the same time, I believe that former U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposed peace plan could represent a path of hope — but only if it recognizes and protects the Palestinians’ fundamental right to life and their return to their homes. Peace can never be achieved through oppression; it begins with justice and the acknowledgment of human rights.

I call upon the United Nations Secretary-General to launch an urgent search for the missing and lost children of Gaza — many of whom remain unaccounted for, their families living in unbearable uncertainty.
Finally, I appeal to all Arab nations to unite in compassion and send essential aid — food, meat, and medicine — to the people of Gaza, who continue to suffer from hunger and deprivation.
This is not merely a political issue; it is a moral duty.
The right to life must never be negotiated.
